At Aruga Home Care, we understand the challenges families face when supporting a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
Our specialized dementia care services in Calgary are designed to meet the needs of the whole person—providing structure, support, and connection in the comfort of home. Through personalized care plans and meaningful engagement, we help seniors live with dignity, safety, and joy.
Our caregivers are trained in dementia-specific techniques and follow a personalized plan tailored to your loved one’s stage and needs. From memory prompts to daily routines, we adapt each visit to reduce stress, enhance familiarity, and support overall wellbeing. With consistency and compassion, we create a calming environment where your loved one can feel secure and understood.
Alzheimer’s and dementia can make everyday life feel unpredictable. That’s why we emphasize stability and routine. We help establish safe daily rhythms – supporting activities like dressing, bathing, eating, and mobility – while minimizing confusion and frustration. Our caregivers also monitor the home environment to reduce fall risks and support safety at every step.
Caring for someone with dementia can be emotionally exhausting. Our care model includes space for both client and family support. We build trust with your loved one and offer families guidance, regular updates, and encouragement. You don’t have to do it alone – Aruga becomes part of your care team.
Memory loss doesn’t mean the end of connection. Our dementia caregivers use music, storytelling, sensory activities, and simple conversation to spark joy and bring familiarity to each day. Creative engagement is woven into our visits, helping reduce anxiety and awaken the parts of your loved one that are still very much present.
Whether you need short-term support or a long-term partner, we tailor dementia home care services to your needs. From hourly visits to overnight care, we’re here to fill the gaps, reduce caregiver burnout, and provide peace of mind as needs change over time.
Dementia is a general term for cognitive decline, while Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. Our care team is trained to support a range of cognitive conditions, adjusting care based on your loved one’s specific diagnosis, behaviour, and progression.
